It’s England in the early 1900s, and very pentacle of human innovation and the dawning of a new technological revolution, but with it, came something else.

Harvesting Empty
PostSubject: Harvesting    Harvesting EmptyThu Dec 31, 2015 12:21 am

Grabbing a basket as she heads out of the inn via the kitchen towards the garden, she surveys the yard with a critical (and somewhat wary) eye. She gladly notes the only distasteful things to be spotted are weeds in the garden.

The woman happily begins the chore of sorting through herbs, cutting what she needs and placing them in her basket. As she works her way through the plants her fingers pluck out the weeds.

Every so often Anna Maria looks up from her work, eyes scanning the yard, trees and walls for anything that shouldn't be there. Shard is right in saying out loud what she already knew. That they all needed to be more careful when out and about. The need to remain this villagent on her own property makes Anna angry, and her frustrations are taken out on the weeds. It is a rather therapeutic task, ripping the little pests from the ground.

Anna sits back on her heels, beginning to feel a slight tug from the wound on her back. Figuring she should quit while she's ahead, the woman sighs and gets to her feet. At least she's done something productive so far today.

Before heading back inside, she steps into the greenhouse to grab a few more necessary herbs. Passing by her leopard's bane, Anna frowns at the petals that are brown rather than their usual vibrant yellow. She places a finger in the soil filling the pot, finding it has the proper moisture. Unsure of why it is dying well before its time, she makes a mental note to ask Shard to take a look at it. Maybe his ability to play with vines transfers to plant husbandry. It just has to be the rare plant that goes and wilts.

Taking what she needs, Anna returns to the inn.
