It’s England in the early 1900s, and very pentacle of human innovation and the dawning of a new technological revolution, but with it, came something else.

A nice little walk Empty
PostSubject: A nice little walk   A nice little walk EmptyFri Oct 30, 2015 11:18 am

Strolling down the sidewalk Hetty pauses every now and then to eye the displays in shop windows. Out for nothing in particular, she is simply enjoying seeing what this area has to offer.

It is apparent this town has grown in recent years, the buildings a mix between old fashioned shops and more modernized structures towering above their neighbors. It won’t be long before it’s considered more of a city than a town though Hetty hopes it never loses the old world charm nestled throughout its brick-paved streets. An impressive number of people fill the streets going about their business and enjoying the sunny warm weather.

Her eyes light up as she looks into the window of an older looking bookstore, its windows displaying an array of titles both classic and new. Never one to pass up a new reading opportunity Hetty walks into the shop, little bells chiming as the door opens and closes behind her. There is the slight musty smell that is the signature of any bookstore worth its salt. Rows upon rows of shelves cover the warm space, filled with a mix of every kind of book. She quickly becomes engrossed in exploring the shelves, pausing every now and then to flip through the pages of a title that seems particularly interesting.

Taking her considerable (though for her it is a rather conservative) stack of books to the gentleman at the register she proceeds to make her purchase. As he counts out her change Hetty overhears a pair of women waiting behind her whispering of a horrific murder in an ally that recently occurred. A chill runs down her spine as they speak in far too much detail.

The excitement of exploring the growing city alone diminishes and the young woman decides to take her purchases and return to the safety of the inn. Nodding her thanks to the clerk, she exits the bookshop and makes her way back.

Cole spends the first two hours aimlessly wondering the city, getting a few strange looks from the people he passes. It takes him awhile, to find a small little store that sells clothing similar to his old Gi. Which he then picks out several of varying colors, mainly just white and black. Satisfied, he holds out a fistful of dollars and asks, "Is this enough?" The store owner's eyes widen at the sum and greedily nods yes.

Upon seeing the man's greed, Cole, pulls back his hand and halves the sum before holding it back out to the man, "Then this should suffice." The shop owner now greatly disappointed in loss of such a profit, seeing that Cole is still overpaying but just barely, he nods and accepts the money.
